James Thompson’s journey commenced with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology from the reputable Brown University. Post his undergraduate studies, he pursued a Master’s Degree in Social Work from Columbia University, followed by an MBA from New York University Stern School of Business. James has amassed over 25 years of professional experience in healthcare management and social services, carving a niche in leading community-driven initiatives aimed at serving older adults. Prior to his current role, Jonathan was the Director of Senior Services at the New York City Department for the Aging, where he tirelessly worked on strategizing and executing community engagement programs. His tenure there saw a significant uptick in community involvement and the initiation of several programs aimed at enhancing the quality of life of seniors. Jonathan’s vast networking capability, alongside his deep-seated knowledge of healthcare management, makes him an indispensable leader for the NORC Aging in Place Initiative, steering the project towards realizing its objectives.
