Emma Johnson pursued a Master’s in Gerontology from the University of Southern California, following a passionate drive to contribute to the quality of life of older adults. Over the years, Emma has focused on developing educational and recreational programs that promote active aging, socialization, and lifelong learning among older adults. Prior to her role in the NORC Aging in Place Initiative, she worked as a Program Coordinator at a senior community center in Los Angeles. Emma’s ingenuity has led to the introduction of diverse educational, socialization, and recreational activities under the initiative, significantly contributing to the mental and physical well-being of the participants. Her ability to tailor programs to meet the unique needs and preferences of the elderly has seen a high level of engagement and satisfaction among the participants, making the initiative a beacon of holistic aging in place.
